What inspires you to teach or work in the hair specific education?

The beauty industry is a magical profession that opens doors to a life of fulfillment.

Almost every human experience or milestone starts with a visit to the hair salon or barbershop. It is the definitive moment where one mentally prepares their mindset to shift and shapes and reaffirm their identity.

In the hands of a hairstyle and barber, we can become a catalyst to make the world a better place by sharing our gift of care, human touch, insight and emotionally prepare.

It’s an opportunity to share our message of inspiration and positivity.

Working with creative people is fulfilling and fun. Creative people are selfless. Contributing themselves to their work. Free themselves.

My purpose in life is to help these special groups of people realize their full potential and be their catalyst of change. It is my hope to make the world a more beautiful, conscious and connected place.

Why Eikonic?

It’s a dream come true to work in a professional environment that is fun, equal parts art, equal par

Eikonic has always been a place where positive transformations occur.

Eikonic has always been a place of transformative experiences occur. There is a special magic experiences when a group of people work together to make a positive change. Early in my career Eikonic helped me grow professionally and presented me with an opportunity to share my gift of organization. I was able to find myself.

In my everyday work, I get to witness our guests, hear their stories and watch their transformations.

It’s a platform for people to come together unified for the common purpose of making the world a better place. It is my hope to share this experience with as many people as possible.

In a wildly advancing technological world where authentic, genuine human interaction and connection between people becomes are few and far between - Eikonic will serve for future generations as a hive for culture creativity, collaboration and positive human connection.

When the chance comes, take it.

Your advice for new students?

I always like to ask people what problem they want to solve in the world.

Then work backwards and ask yourself what skills do you have to contribute.

Then ask yourself, how you can change that.

Write it down. Our minds easily wander and great ideas often get forgotten or never acted upon. The first step to designing your dream future is to make it tangible reality. Grab a pen or phone and type that idea down. You can come back and build on it later. But that way - you’ve started.

What is your favourite hairstyle and why?

Vintage finger waves. There’s something hauntingly beautiful and glamorous about finger waves. Perhaps I’m in love with the time period - where  it was the norm for men and women to dress up whenever they went out.

What is your life motto?

You have two lives. The second one starts the moment you realize you only have one.

- Thanks Confucius.

Lead a life of meaning and purpose. Live a life so that when you leave, you left it in a better position than when you found it.
